Detailed Itinerary

During the first day of the trek, you will be visiting the heritage sites located in Kathmandu at the beginning. At first, you will visit the Swyambhunath temple, which is popular as the monkey temple of Nepal. Then, we move to the largest Buddhist stupa of the world, Bouddhanath, which has more than 50 Tibetan Gompas.

Then, on the second day, you will visit Namobuddha, which is a trek uphill. Namobuddha is an ancient and sacred destination for Buddhists. It has a beautiful monastery surrounded by the Tamang settlements. From Namobuddha, you can view the beautiful scenery of the mountains and hills of Nepal. Also, you will get to view many temples, as well as stupas in the hilltop.

In the third day, you will take about 9 hours drive to Lumbini from Kathmandu. Lumbini is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha and lies in the Terai region of Nepal. It is listed in the World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

As you move to the fourth day, we explore Lumbini and visit the Mayadevi temple along with the temples and monuments surrounding it. Lumbini has many monuments and stupas that you can explore. Also, the pond where Gautam Buddha was first given a bath is the major attraction site here.

On the fifth day, we drive for about 7 hours to Pokhara. As we drive for such long hours to Pokhara, we visit the lakeside and enjoy the scenic beauty of the most beautiful city of Nepal. You can also enjoy the views of the Himalayas in Pokhara.

On the sixth day, we visit the Buddhist monasteries and gompas in the Pokhara valley. Firstly, we will head towards the World Peace Pagoda, which was constructed by Buddhist monks from Japan. From the stupa, we can observe the beautiful view of the Pokhara valley and the majestic mountains. After that, we head to the Malepatan monastery and then hike to Hyangja, which is a famous site for Buddhists.

As we complete our Buddhist tour in Nepal, we drive back to Kathmandu on the seventh day. Hence, our trip gets completed.
